Grounds

TheLMV3hastwodifferenttypesofgrounds:
 ProtectiveEarth(PE)
 ReferenceGround(GND)

ProtectiveEarth

Protective Earth (PE) or chassis ground must always be connected to the control panel grounding lug.
ThepurposeofPEistoprovideagroundforall120VACconnecti ons.
Onewirefromthesecondaryside
of the control panel’s main step‐down transformer should also be connected to the control panel
groundinglug.

AllofthePEterminalsontheLMV3arecommon.

ReferenceGround

The other type of ground is the Reference Ground (GND). These are found on
the low voltage
connections.ThepurposeoftheReferenceGroundistoserveasadatumtomeasureothervoltages.




