5. Set up the MOBILETT and the dose meter according to Fig. 2.
6. Switch the collimator light on. The dose meter should be positioned in the center of
the light field and freely in the air to avoid back scattering radiation.
7. Measure the Focus - dose meter distance (A / Fig. 2) and then the width and the
length of the light field on the surface. For optimal accuracy, place an unexposed
film cassette on the surface, and measure the exposed area width and length on
the film after an exposure has been released.
8. Measure the Focus - light field/surface distance (B / Fig. 2).
9. Calculate the reference area according to the following formula:
If a semiconductor detector is used, the temperature/ pressure
factor of the dose meter must be considered.
Otherwise a deviation against the factory calibration may occur.
