Decreasing the ambient temperature and the output current
The permissible output currents as a function of the installation altitude and ambient
temperature are listed in the following tables.
Due to the reduced cooling efficiency as the altitude increases, it is necessary, on the one
hand, to reduce the ambient temperature and, on the other, to reduce the power loss of the
Power Module by reducing the output current, whereby ambient temperatures lower than
45 °C may be taken into consideration to compensate, and are taken into account in the
tables. The values apply under the precondition that a cooling air flow through the devices is
ensured as specified in the technical specifications.
