6.4.4 Information categories of the SENTRON circuit protection devices
The metering and communication-capable SENTRON circuit protection devices have different
categories of information.
Many of these are common to all or many devices. There is also information that is specific
for individual device types. In the following chapters this is marked with an "x" for all devices,
if the register is available. Furthermore, the scope of information can expand in other
versions.
The following categories are accessible to the applications via Modbus TCP.
Device characteristics according to manufacturer (e.g. order number, rated current, tripping charac-
teristic)
Usage environment (plant identifier, location identifier, installation date)
Parameters for communication path settings: Ethernet, Bluetooth, radio
Communication
information
MAC addresses and installation codes of the radio stations
variables
Electrical measured variables (e.g. current, voltage, line frequency, power, energy),
Temperature
settings
Limit monitoring
Alarm triggering thresholds
Expected energy flow direction
Measured variables of the diagnostics functions (e.g. operating hours, switching cycles, tripping op-
erations)
Parameters for alarm and status information
This information can be displayed or changed with SENTRON powerconfig and the
SENTRON powerconfig app.
The following description is used to be able to access this with other applications and not just
with SENTRON applications such as powermanager, powermind, powerconfig, powerconfig
app and 7KN Powercenter 3000.
The information is described in the data point with register number, data format and access
possibility.
The accesses mean the following function codes:
• R: 0x03, 0x04
• RW: 0x03, 0x04 or 0x10
• WO: 0x10
• CMD: 0x06
