14.5 Testing the Configuration in Conjunction with the PLC
Test
the OP interaction with the connected PLC. This checks that the correct
data areas have been configured.
Step Action
1 Connect the OP to the PLC.
A message on the OP indicates that it has been connected successfully.
2 Acknowledge this message.
3 Set the OP in ONLINE mode using the System Settings standard screen.
All the items contained in the configuration that are necessary for
communication with the PLC can then be tested. Depending on the
configuration, these might be:
event and alarm messages
buffers for event messages and alarm messages
print functions
automatic message logging
screen selection etc.
