4.2.1 Character Recognition "Asynchronous 11 Bit"
The "Asynchronous 11 bit" character recognition is designed to transmit data
streams consisting of standard 11-bit asynchronous characters:

The "Asynchronous 11 bit" character recognition can be used in combination with
all operating modes of the MD2 modem. Four baud rates can be used: 1200, 2400,
9600 and 19200 baud.
The following illustration shows the setting on the 10-pin DIL switch of the MD2 for
"Asynchronous 11 bit" character recognition.
