The SIRIUS 3RW40 soft starter sizes S0 to S12 are suitable for starting explosion-proof
motors with the "increased safety" type of protection EEx e.
Note
The rated motor current is extremely important when sele
cting a soft starter.

Conditions for normal starting (C
LASS 10):
s, current limitation 300%, 5 starts/hour, ON time 30%, standalone
assembly, max. installation altitude 1000

40 °C / 104 °F. In the event of deviating conditions or increased switching frequency, it
may be necessary to choose a larger device. For information about the rated currents for
