3.21 Proxy Server
A simple stateless TCP proxy server application has been included in release 8.0.0 and
later of the Stratos Outstation firmware. The proxy server will allow up to ten ingress to
target port routings to a single target IP address. This feature allows specific limited
“remote” access to network equipment via the Gemini using specific ports without
exposing the devices to the whole wan side of the external network that the Gemini is
connected to.
The application requires the server port mappings and ip address of the target machine.
These can be entered via the terminal interface 'cfgitem' command or by the Status and
Configuration web page interface. To take effect these items must be set before the
TcpProxyServer plugin is started.
By default ingress and target ports for proxyports0 will be mapped to 8090 and 443
respectively. The target IP address will be mapped to 127.0.0.1 – a message will be
logged in syslog to indicate that this is the case.
