Work prole setup | AP70/AP80 Operator Manual
Work prole setup
A work profile is a set of steering parameters used by the AP70/AP80 system to improve
the autopilot steering under different operational conditions. This gives high steering
performance very quickly when the operational conditions change, compared to waiting for
the autopilot adaption process.
The AP70/AP80 has a set of predefined work profiles. You can edit all predefined profiles, and
you can add new profiles. There can be up to 6 work profiles defined in the system. All profiles
except Normal can be deleted.
The work profiles are accessed by pressing the Work key. Active profile is shown in the Mode
status panel.
The Normal prole
This is the default profile, and the initial parameters in the profile are automatically assigned
when you select your vessel type.
During commissioning and seatrial the parameters for active profile will be tuned for
optimized steering performance. The parameters will be saved as part of the profile settings.
It is recommended to use the Normal profile as a general profile for your vessel. This should
be active during the commissioning of your vessel, and all parameter settings will then be
saved to this profile.
Creating new proles
New profiles can be defined for operational modes where the vessel’s steering parameters
deviate from the Normal profile.
You can also define a profile for easy access to preferred parameters for various crew
members.

3. Enter profile name
- The virtual keyboard will be available when the name field is selected
