ordownwiththeGainfunction.IncreasingtheGainwithamorepositivenumberreduces
theminimumlevel,andthisincreasesthesensitivity.Onlyechoesovertheminimumlevel
areshownintheechogram(C).
DonotconfusethisGainsettingwiththeTVG(TimeVariedGain)setting.
Tip
Duringnormaloperatingconditionswerecommendthatyoukeepthegainbetween15and
30.Ifyouneedtoadjustthegain"fromscratch"disableAGC(AutomaticGainControl)and
RCG(ReverberationControlledGain)toseetheimmediateeffectofthegainadjustments.
Whileyouadjustthegainyoumaynditusefultohaveaknowntarget(forexamplean
island)asreference.

2Turntherelevantrotaryswitchtomaketheadjustment.

TheOperatingPanelisttedwiththreerotaryswitches.Theswitchesareidentied
withnumbers.Eachswitchcanbeassignedafunctionrelatedtorange,gainor
bearing.InvestigatethefunctionalityprovidedontheOperatingPanelpage.Thispage
