FAMILIARIZATION
Section 3 – Familiarization
WARNING
MEWP Familiarization should be given only to
individuals who are QUALIFIED/COMPETENT and
TRAINED to operate a MEWP.
WARNING
Do not operate this MEWP without proper
authorization and training. Failure to avoid this
hazard could result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
It is the responsibility of the operator to read,
completely understand and follow all instructions
and warnings contained in this operating manual
and on the MEWP.
Read and completely understand the operating
manual and all warnings and instruction labels (refer
to Section 8 – Labels) on the MEWP.
Before operating this MEWP, perform the following
tasks:
1. Visual and daily maintenance inspections (refer
to 4.2 Visual & Daily Maintenance Inspections)
2. Function tests (refer to 4.3 Function Tests)
3. Jobsite inspection (refer to 2.4 Jobsite
Inspection).
