SMA Solar Technology AG 10 DC Connection
Installation Manual SCCPXT-IA-D7-en-42 45
Procedure:
1. Position and screw the busbar firmly over three DC terminals
(torque: 60 Nm).
2. Pull the fuses out of the three DC connection lugs. Use the LV/HRC fuse handle.
10.2.6 Connecting DC Cables
Additionally required mounting material (not included in the scope of delivery):
☐Clean cloth
☐ Ethanol cleaning agent
Requirement:
☐ No more than two DC cables are connected to each fuse input.
Procedure:
1. Insert the DC cables into the interface cabinet.
2. Strip the DC cable insulation.
3. Fit terminal lugs to the DC cables.
4. Wipe the contact surfaces on the terminal lugs and connection lugs with a clean cloth and ethanol cleaner.
5. For non-tin-plated busbars, also polish the contact surfaces with non-woven abrasive as follows:
• Polish the contact surfaces with the non-woven abrasive until they have a light metallic sheen. Ensure that the
coated contact surfaces are not damaged in the process.
• Remove metal dust using a clean cloth and ethanol cleaning agent and do not touch the contact surfaces again
after cleaning.
6. Connect the DC cables with the specified torque in accordance with the circuit diagram. Only use the screws,
nuts and washers included in the scope of delivery and make sure that the screw heads always point forwards.
7. Fasten the DC cables to the cable support rail. This will prevent the cables from being pulled out inadvertently.
