SMA Solar Technology AG 12 Cable Connection of External Devices and Connections in the Interface Cabinet
Installation Manual SCCPXT-IA-D7-en-42 61
Procedure:
1. Lead the external voltage supply cable into the interface cabinet (see Section12.2, page55).
2. Connect the cable in accordance with the circuit diagram (see Section12.3.1, page55).
3. Attach the cable to the cable support rail using a cable tie. This will ensure that the cable cannot be pulled out
inadvertently.
12.3.9 Connecting the External Fast Stop Cabling
If required, you can connect an external fast stop in accordance with the circuit diagram. The fast stop can be operated
by means of an internal or external voltage supply.
Cable requirements:
☐ The cable must be shielded.
Cable requirements for internal voltage supply:
☐ Maximum cable length with cable cross-section of 2.5 mm
2
: 130 m
☐ Maximum cable length with cable cross-section of 1.5 mm
2
: 80 m
Requirements:
☐ The Sunny Central must be disconnected (see Section14, page65).
☐ Use latching switches only.
Procedure:
1. Insert the cable of the external fast stop into the interface cabinet (see Section12.2, page55).
2. Connect the cable in accordance with the circuit diagram (see Section12.3.1, page55).
3. Attach the cable to the cable support rail using a cable tie. This will ensure that the cable cannot be pulled out
inadvertently.
Shortfall of external supply voltage
If an external supply voltage of between 18.5 V and 24.0 V is supplied to the external fast stop, the Sunny Central
will continue to operate in its current operating state. If the external supply voltage to the external fast stop falls
below 18.5 V, the Sunny Central switches from the current operating state to the operating state "Stop".
If the temperature in the interior of the Sunny Central exceeds +60°C, the external fast stop must be supplied with
a supply voltage between 20.0 V and 24.0 V to continue operating the Sunny Central in its current operating state.
• Ensure that the external fast stop is supplied with a constant external voltage between 20.0 V and 24.0 V.
