SMA Solar Technology AG 12 Cable Connection of External Devices and Connections in the Interface Cabinet
Installation Manual SCCPXT-IA-D7-en-42 57
Requirement:
☐ The Sunny Central must be disconnected (see Section14, page65).
Procedure:
1. Insert the Sunny String-Monitor cable into the interface cabinet (see Section12.2 "Leading the Cables into the
Interface Cabinet", page55).
2. Connect the cable in accordance with the circuit diagram (see Section12.3.1 "Connecting the Cables to the
Connecting Terminal Plate", page55).
3. Remove the shield clamping saddle from the busbar.
4. Press the shield clamping saddle down onto the shield of the
stripped cable until it clicks into place, and fasten hand-tight.
5. Attach the cable to the cable support rail using a cable tie. This will ensure that the cable cannot be pulled out
inadvertently.
12.3.3 Connecting the Remote Shutdown
The remote shutdown enables the Sunny Central to be switched off from a distance, e.g. from a control room. The function
of the remote shutdown is similar to the stop function of the key switch.
Cable requirement:
☐ The cable must be shielded.
Requirement:
☐ The Sunny Central must be disconnected (see Section14, page65).
Procedure:
1. Insert the remote shutdown cable into the interface cabinet (see Section12.2, page55).
2. Connect the cable in accordance with the circuit diagram (see Section12.3.1, page55).
3. Remove the shield clamping saddle from the busbar.
Supply voltage shortfall
If the supply voltage at the remote shutdown unit is between 18.5 V and 24.0 V, the Sunny Central will continue to
operate in its current operating state. If the supply voltage at the remote shutdown unit falls below 18.5 V, the
Sunny Central switches from the current operating state to the operating state "Stop".
