The same micro-controller processes all the user’s control actions like output
on/off, the timer activation, the selection and display of function values, and
the protective alarms.
The PTE-FCN variable voltage channel
This add-on, installed inside the PTE-100-C PRO’s lid, provides an addi-
tional voltage source that is variable in amplitude, frequency and phase
angle. The PTE-FCN module is an efficient, accurate and stable amplifier-
based voltage source that provides a high quality output.
The PTE-FCN must be powered from the built-in fix
auxiliary output of the PTE-100-C PRO only. Use the supplied razor-
type bipolar cord for this purpose. The use of any other source to
power the PTE-FCN
module can permanently damage it and is not
covered by the warranty.
Using the PTE-FCN’s variable voltage output in combination with the variac-
regulated power channel of the PTE-100-C PRO, you can test directional
relays, distance / impedance relays, synchronism and frequency relays,
among many others.
Refer to the “PTE-FCN” chapter at the end of this manual for instructions
how to use the independent variable voltage channel.
