1) Check the condition of the chipper drum assembly.
2) Check the condition of the knives and attaching hardware.
3) Properly torque the knife mounting hardware.
4) Carefully rotate the chipper drum with a pry bar or wood bar to ensure proper
anvil, gate, screen, and infeed clearance. If the chipper drum is jammed with
debris or frozen in place, do not attempt to start engine and engage clutch until
the chipper drum rotates freely.
Each day before starting your machine these checks must be made:

CHIPPER DRUM MAINTENANCE
1) Check anvil clearance, tightness, and wear.
2) Check the screen and gate clearance.
3) Check the infeed conveyor clearance.
