Save the measurement result.
Select "SAVE" in step 2.
The measurement results are saved and
you can select the calibration type in the
A. CAL menu.
For details on calibration type, see page
33.
Tip
The size of a speaker/LAR(-;E/SMALL) is
determined by the low frequency characteristics.
The measurenmnt results may vary, depeuding (m
the position of the optimizer microphone and
speakers, and the shape of the room. It is
recommended that you follow the measurement
results. However. you can change those settings in
the SYSTEM menu (page 42). Sm e the
measurement results first, then tW to change the
settings if you want.
When error codes appear
Try the remedies and perform the Auto
Calibration again.

Cause and remedies
SPEAKERS (OFF/A/B/A+B) is
set to off. Set it to others and
perform the Auto Calibration
again.
None of the speakers were
detected. Make sure that the
optimizer microphone is
connected properly and perform
the Auto Calibration again.
If the optimizer microphone is
connected properly but the error
code appears, the optimizer
microphone cable may be
damaged or improperly c(muected.
• None of the front speakers are
counected or only oue frout
speaker is connected.
• The optimizer microphone is not
couuected.
• Either the left or right surround
speakers is not connected.
• Surround back spe&ers are
connected even though s/lrrouud
speakers are not counected.
Conuect the surround speaker to
the SPEAKERS SURROUND
terminals.

1 Press RECEIVER. then press @, then follow
tile instructions from step I of"Perlormiug Auto
Calibration".
• CODE 32, 33
1 Press RECEIVER. then press @, "RETRY Y"
appears on the display.
2 Press (_) again.
3 Follow the instructions from step 2 of
"Performing Auto Calibration".
When you select "WARN CHK"
If a warning on the measurement result is
present, detailed information is displayed.
Press _ to return to step 2 of
"Confirming/saving the
measurement results".

The Auto Calibration has
completed. However. tile noise
level is high. You may be able to
perform the Auto Calibration
properly if you try it again, even
though tile measurement cannot
be performed in all enviromnents.
Try to perform the Auto
Calibration in a quiet
euvirouuleut.
The sound input from the
optimizer microphone is out of
tile acceptable range. It is louder
th:m tile loudest sound that can be
measured. Try to perform tile
Auto Calibration when the
mwironment is quiet enough to
allow proper measureumut.
WARN 42 The volume of tile receiver is out
of tile acceptable range. Try to
perform the Auto Calibration
when tile environment is quiet
enough to allow proper
measurement.
WARN 43 The distance and position of a sub
woofer cannot be detected. This
may be caused by noise. Try to
perform the Auto Calibration in a
quiet enviromneut.
NO WARN There is no warning inlk_rmation.
