Adjustments Using the SET UP Button
The SET UP button allows you to make the following
adjustments.
This paraineter lets you specif,/tile video input to be used
with the audio signals fi'om the 5.1CH INPUT jack. The
5.1CH video input is set to DVD/LD by default.
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (< or >) to select
"5.1CH V:".
3 Turn the jog dial to select the video input you
want.
"AUTO OFF" turns off the power of video circuits
automatically when there are unnecessary. You can enjoy
the sound without the influence of the video circuits.
"ALWAYS ON" keeps the power of video circuits on.
Depending on the moniteL noise may be produced or the
picture inay be distorted when tile power of the video
circuits is turned on. In this case, select "ALWAYS ON".
The default setting is "AUTO OFF".
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (< or >) to select "V.
POWER".
3 Turn the jog dial to select "AUTO OFF" or "ALWAYS
ON".
"AUTO OFF" turns off the power of the unnecessary
digital circuits automatically when you use analog inputs
or fkmctions like ANALOG DIRECT that bypass digital
processing. You can enjoy the analog source without the
influence of digital circuits. "ALWAYSON" keeps tile
power of digital circuits on. Select when set to AUTO OFF
and you do not like the tiine lag when digital circuits are
turned on, etc. The default setting is "AUTO OFF".
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (< or >) to select "D.
POWER".
3 Turn the jog dial to select "AUTO OFF" or "ALWAYS
ON".
When set to "ON", the sound field that was last applied to
a program source is automatically applied whenever it is
selected. For example, if you listen to CD with STADIUM
as the sound field, change to a dirt>rent program source,
then return to CD, STADIUM will be applied again. If you
do not want to use this f\metion, set to "OFF". The defhult
setting is "ON'.
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (< or >) to select "S. F
LINK".
3 Turn thejog dial to select "ON" or "OFF".

Turning on tile CONTROL A1 II auto f\mction paraineter
lets you turn Sony components connected via CONTROL
A1 cords (see page 12) on automatically when you press
tile corresponding function button.
Auto t\m( tion is set to ON by default.
1 Press SET UP.
2 Press the cursor buttons (< or >) to select "AUTO
FUNCTION."
3 Turn the jog dial to select "ON" or "OFF."
