– Push button (1) to actuate the front wind-
screen wiper/washer (variant)
– Push button (2) to actuate the rear wind-
screen wiper/washer (variant)
Repeated pressing of the respective button
switches between the operating stages in the
sequence specified shown below.

Filling the washer system
– Open the filler cap (1) of the washer system
(variant).
– Fill the washer reservoir (2) with washer
fluid containing anti-freeze, according to
the maintenance data table; see ⇒ Chap-
ter "Maintenance data table", P. 5-386.
CAUTION
Components may become damaged due to the
effects of frost!
Water expands when it freezes. If there is no anti-
freeze in the washer system (variant), the system
may become damaged due to the accumulation of
ice in freezing conditions.
– Always use washer fluid containing anti-freeze.
– Close the filler cap.
– Operate washer system until washer fluid is
discharged from the spray nozzles.
