Special notes for installing
the
lithium-ion battery
With the exception of the fol
lowing special
notes, lithium-ion batteri
es are replaced in the
same way as lead-acid batter
ies.
– Push down the lifting eyes before inserting
the battery into the battery compartment.
Make sure that the lifting eyes do not
protrude.
The lifting eyes may bend in the event of a
collision with the truck chassis.

be read when the battery d
oor or battery
cover is open.
– Lay the battery cable on the battery. Make
sure that the cable does not come into
contact with the truck chassis during
installation.
Replacing the battery using forklift
truck or pallet truck
CAUTION
Risk of damage!
The battery must only be removed on a level and
smooth floor in accordance with the operating
instructions of the truck or lift truck used.
Preparation
– Park the truck safely.
– Open the battery cover.
CAUTION
Risk of component damage!
If you remove the battery male connector when the
key switch is switched on (under load), an arc will be
produced. This can lead to erosion at the contacts,
which considerably shortens their service life.
– Switch off the key switch before the battery male
connector is disconnected.
– Only disconnect the battery male connector with
the key switch switched on in an emergency.
