9.8 spanning-tree pathcost method
This command sets the method to calculate the port path cost and the no form of the command
sets the method to calculate the port path cost to its default.
spanning-tree pathcost method {long|short}
no spanning-tree pathcost method
Syntax Description
long - 32 bit pathcost
short - 16 bit path cost
Mode
Global Configuration Mode
Defaults
If MSTP/RSTP is running- path cost method is long
If STP compatible RSTP is running, the path-cost method is short
Example
SMIS(config)#spanning-tree pathcost method short
