1I-15 Starting System:
• Connect the handle (1) to the rope (2).
• Install the ratchet related parts.
• Apply grease to the shaft and ratchet guide.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Tighten the nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Recoil starter center nut (a): 12 N·m (1.2 kgf-m,
8.5 lb-ft)
• Pull the rope and check that the ratchet is pushed out.
Recoil Starter Inspection

Ratchet Set
Inspect the ratchet set for wear or damage. If any
defects are found, replace the ratchet set with a new
one.
