1J-8 Charging System:
• Install the dowel pins and new gasket (3).
CAUTION
!
Use a new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Install the generator cover and tighten the generator
cover bolts.
CAUTION
!
Fit the clamp to the bolt “C”. Refer to “Wiring
Harness Routing Diagram in Section 9A
(Page 9A-8)”.
• Fit new gasket (4) to the transfer gearshift cam
stopper bolt (5). (LT-F400/F)
CAUTION
!
Use new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Install the gearshift cam stopper (6) and spring. (LT-
F400/F)
• Tighten the transfer gearshift cam stopper bolt to the
specified torque. (LT-F400/F)
Tightening torque
Transfer gearshift cam stopper bolt (d): 22 N·m (
2.2 kgf-m, 16.0 lb-ft)
• Apply grease to the sliding part of the speedometer
gearbox.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Fit new gasket (7).
CAUTION
!
Use new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Apply thread lock to the bolt and tighten them to the
specified torque.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32110
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1322 or
equivalent)
Tightening torque
Speedometer gearbox bolt (e): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m,
7.0 lb-ft)
