3B-27 Differential:
• Coat a new O-ring with silicone grease and apply
bond to the mating surface of the cover.
: Grease 99000–25100 (SUZUKI SILICONE
GREASE or equivalent)
: Sealant 99000–31140 (SUZUKI BOND
No.1207B or equivalent)
NOTE
After the backlash and tooth contact have
been checked or adjusted, install a new O-
ring and apply bond.
• Apply thread lock to the final gear case cover bolts
and tighten them to the specified torque in a
crisscross pattern.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32030
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1303 or
equivalent)
Tightening torque
Final gear case cover bolt (a): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m,
16.5. lb-ft)
NOTE
After the backlash and tooth contact have
been checked or adjusted, apply thread lock
to the final gear case cover bolts.
• Install the shims, final drive gear assembly.
• Tighten new final drive gear lock-nut to the specified
torque with the special tool.
CAUTION
!
Replace the removed lock-nut with a new
one.

(B): 09924–41830 (Bearing retainer wrench)
Tightening torque
Final drive gear bearing lock-nut: 80 N·m (8.0 kgf-
m, 58.0 lb-ft)
NOTE
After the backlash and tooth contact have
been checked or adjusted, stake the nut with
a center punch.
