1.9.7 How to use the data box as the display for the FURUNO SC-33
When a FURUNO SC-33 Satellite Compass
™
is connected to the same network, you
can use a box in the data area as a dedicated SC-33 display.
Note: This function requires PGN 130578 Vessel Speed Components to be output
from the SC-33.
Referring to section 1.9.2 and section 1.9.3, select the 3-Axis Speed display.
The uppermost speed indication is the speed at the CCRP. The CCRP is set and
installation.
The middle speed indication is the speed at mid-ship.
The lowermost speed indication is the speed at the stern
Note 1: To correctly display directional indications and speed indications, the follow-

• Heading: when a valid heading is not input, wind and tidal current indications are
not shown. Further, speed is indicated as blank “----” and the compass directions
(N,S,E,W) are not shown.
• Connection to a rate gyro or gyrocompass: when there is no signal received from
the rate gyro or gyrocompass, the aft speed is indicated as blank “----”.
