Chapter 8 Creating Calibration Curves
This chapter explains the procedures to create a calibration curve when operating the CS-5100 using the
tracks.
8.1 Creating a calibration curve before analyzing a sample on
the tracks
Before analyzing a sample on the tracks, disconnect the CS-5100 from the LAS and create a calibration curve with
the calibrator that is set on the CS-5100.
1 Disconnect the CS-5100 from the LAS.
( P. 2 - 2 “Chapter 2: 2.3 Disconnecting the LAS”)
2
Create calibration curves.
( CS-5100 Instructions for Use “Chapter 5 Creating Calibration Curves”)
8.2 Creating a calibration curve while analyzing a sample on
the tracks
While analyzing a sample on the tracks, you can create a calibration curve with the calibrator that is set on the CS-
5100.
See the CS-5100 Instructions for Use for more details on creating a calibration curve.
( CS-5100 Instructions for Use “Chapter 5 Creating Calibration Curves”)
1 Check that the calibrator is set on the reagent table.
If not, set the calibrator on the reagent table.
( CS-5100 Instructions for Use “Chapter 3: 3.8.9.1 Replacing and adding reagents/detergents/buffers”)
2
Register the order.
This halts the analysis on the track sample and creates the calibration curve.
When aspiration of the calibrator is completed, the analysis on the track sample will resume automatically.
Note:
You cannot set the calibrator on the tracks to create the calibration curve.
