Special conditions when using
IS radios
Intrinsically Safe (IS) radios and accessories are
certified by a third party to be safe to use in particular
hazardous locations, or in potentially explosive
atmospheres.
Warning Use only a Tait-supplied, IS-approved
battery and charger with an IS radio. Fitting a battery
or using a charger that is not IS-approved creates a
risk of explosion which could cause serious injury or
death.
Warning Do not charge the battery in a hazardous
location. An explosion could cause serious injury or
death.
