4. Operating Instructions
Press exit to remove the error message and return to the standby mode.
Check that the reagent bottle has enough solution and the inlet tube is fitted into
the solution.
Use the Prime menu to fill the liquid system with solution.
Check that the dispensing needles are clear.
Fill Communication Error
If the fill verification board does not respond, the following error message is
displayed:
Fill Comm. Err.!
Exit
Switch off the instrument to clear the display. Ensure that the small ribbon cable
and the interface cable (from the mainboard) are connected correctly to the Fill
Verification board. Switch the instrument on again.
Contact the service engineer to disable the Fill Verification option in the Service
menu and to correct the problem.
Fill Function Error
If the fill verification board needle status can not be deleted, the following error
message is displayed:
Fill Funct.Err.!
Exit
Press exit to remove the error message and return to the standby mode.
The problem is caused by an electrical conducting liquid connection from the
dispensing to the aspirating needles on the manifold. The underside of the
manifold must then be cleaned using, for example, distilled water.
Contact the service engineer to disable the Fill Verification option in the Service
menu and to correct the problem.
Fill Aspiration Error
When the well is not correctly aspirated the following error is displayed:
Fill Asp. Err.!
Exit
The problem is caused by a blocked aspirating needle / tube or the aspirating
pump may not be functioning correctly. Use the cleaning needles to clean the
aspirating needles (see chapter 7) or replace the pump.
Contact the service engineer to correct the problem.
