5 Content and Printer Sharing

5.2 Printer sharing
Introduction
A TG788vv3 USB port allows you to share your USB printer in your local network. This way everyone in your network can
use the same printer without having to buy an expensive network printer.
Requirements
The samba server must be enabled on the TG788vv3 (this is the default setting).

Procedure
Proceed as follows:
1 Connect your USB printer to the TG788vv3. For more information, “5.2.1 Connect your USB printer to the TG788vv3” on
page 62.
2 Configure the printer sharing service on your TG788vv3.
For more information, see “5.2.2 Enable the printer sharing service on your TG788vv3” on page 63.
3 Install the printer on your computer.

5.2.1 Connect your USB printer to the TG788vv3
Plug the USB cable of your printer in (one of) the USB port(s) of your TG788vv3.
