6. Check scrub head skirt for wear. Make sure skirt
height is 1.5 mm (.062 in) from floor all away around
scrub head with pad/brush installed (Figure 62).

7. Check squeegee blades for damage and wear.
Wipe blades down with a dry cloth and store
squeegee in the up position to prevent squeegee
damage (Figure 63) (See REPLACING OR
ROTATING SQUEEGEE BLADES).

8. Clean machine with an all purpose cleaner and
damp cloth.

ATTENTION: Do not power spray or hose off
machine. Electrical component damage due to
water is not covered by warranty.
9. Recharge batteries.
NOTE: Recharge batteries ONLY after a total of 30
minutes of use or more. This will prolong battery life.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
(Every 20 Hours of Use)
1. After charging, check electrolyte level (A) in each
battery cell. Electrolyte level (A) should be 1cm
(0.38 in.) from bottom of fill rings (B). Add distilled
water if needed. DO NOT OVERFILL (Figure 65).

WARNING: Batteries emit hydrogen gas.
Explosion or fire can result. Keep sparks and
open flame away. Keep covers open when
charging.
2. Check for loose or worn battery cables. Replace if
damaged.
3. Clean batteries and terminals as described below:
FOR SAFETY: When servicing machine, wear
protective gloves when handling batteries and
battery cables. Avoid contact with battery acid.
ATTENTION: Keep all metal objects off top of
batteries, which may cause short circuit.
a. Mix a strong solution of baking soda and water
(Figure 66).

b. Brush solution sparingly over battery tops,
terminal and cable connectors.
NOTE: Do not allow baking soda solution to enter
battery cells.
c. Use wire brush to clean terminal post and
cable connections.
d. After cleaning, apply a coating of clear battery
post protectant to terminals and cable
connections.
