Service instructions
The surface of the instrument has not been treated. Therefore, avoid
any soiling caused by indicators, oil or grease. However, if the hous-
ing becomes soiled, please clean the surface with a commercial plas-
tics cleaner (never use other solvents).
Description of maintenance work
Carry out the maintenance work described below on a regular basis.

Bleeding the lines
Bleed the lines after each mechanical step to ensure trouble-free
operation of the instrument. To achieve this, proceed as described
in the section entitled “Replacing the indicator bottle” on page 37!
Replacing the indicator bottle
If Testomat
®
808 displays the error message “Low indicator level”,
replace the indicator bottle (refer to the section entitled “Error mes-
sages/Troubleshooting” on page 32) for information about error mes-
sages). Proceed as follows:
Put the instrument into standby mode. If a measuring process is
currently running, wait until it has been completed.
Proceed as follows to remove the empty indicator bottle: discon-
nect the intake hose from the hose connector at the top of the indi-
cator bottle and remove the empty bottle.
Insert the new indicator bottle as described in the section entitled
“Inserting the indicator bottle” on page 26.
Bleed the lines after inserting a new indicator bottle. To achieve
this, press key 1 (manual) for approx. 2 seconds. The dosing pump
starts to run.
Let the pump run until no more bubbles escape from the dosing
needle. Then press key 1 (manual) again for approx. 2 seconds to
switch off the pump.
