7.1.2. Lubricating Motor Shafts
1. While the PCS-6000 is still electrically connected, align the stages as
shown below.

2. Remove the manipulator from the Faraday cage and place on a well-lit
working space.
3. Holding the stage as shown in Figure 7-2, shift the top to take pressure
off of the motor. A convenient way to do this is to place a thumb on the
base and the opposing forefinger on the moveable section and squeeze.

4. Use a 3/32 hex driver to remove the motor module.
5. Gently relax the pressure and allow the stage to move to its natural
position.
6. Grasp the anti-rotate coupling and remove from the motor by unscrewing
in a counterclockwise direction.
