provided.

Replace the stem
- Position the stem and check that the top of the pivot
is well back by 0.5 to 2 mm from the upper face of
the stem
7
.
- Insert the compression cap
8
inside the pivot.
- Align the stem
9
.
- Tighten the stem on the pivot with a tightening
torque of 5 Nm on each screw
10
, using a torque
wrench.
The compression cap is specic to the
Scylon model.
No other model of compression cap
should be used.
Exceeding the recommended torque
does not improve the handling of the
stem, but may instead irreversibly
destroy the fork pivot.
Detailed instructions for mounting the
TIME MONOLINK stem are also available.
If you are installing a stem from a manufacturer
other than TIME:
- Raise the height of the stem shaft.
- Subtract 1 mm from the elevation.
- Position the standard cutting tool at a distance of 1 mm.
- Cut the pivot, taking care not to deviate (use a saw
blade in good condition).
- Clean the burrs and sawdust.
