4. Safety information
TIME Frames are high technology products and they have all the safety guarantees for their intended use.
Please read the following instructions carefully to guarantee proper use for your own safety.
4.1 CMT Carbon Legs
The TIME Scylon frame is equipped with CMT carbon fork legs:
- Do not use transport racks that are attached by the front wheel axle.
- Do not impose abnormal forces on the legs during assembly or maintenance operations (e.g. straightening the
handlebar without loosening the stem!).
- Do not use wheel locks with contact surfaces that are too aggressive.
- Tighten the lock without excessive pressure (follow the manufacturer's instructions).
- Regularly check the appearance and wear of the legs.
- When carrying out maintenance or handling of the bicycle, never place the legs on the ground.
Abnormal wear of the legs due to abrasion will void the warranty!
Never le safety lugs!

4.2 Tightening torques
Strictly observe the tightening torques to ensure optimum operation and safety.
- Seat post clamp: 8 Nm
- Seat clamping: 4 Nm
- Rear clamping of stem: 5 Nm
- Front clamping of stem: 6 Nm
- Brake nuts: 6 Nm
- Front derailleur support: 6 Nm
Use a quality torque wrench.
Check all tightening torques after 500 km of use.
4.3 Replacement of parts
Only use genuine TIME parts when replacing used parts (bearings, derailleur hanger, etc.).
4.4 General usage
- It is strongly recommended that you have a professional assemble your frame.
- Take all necessary precautions during transport (especially by plane) so that your bike is not subjected to
abnormal shocks.
- Inspect your bike regularly before use.
- Do not leave your bike exposed to too much heat.
- In the event of a fall, have your bike checked by a specialist dealer or by the TIME service department.
- If in doubt about any part of your frame, contact your specialist dealer.
TIME is released from all liability in the case of assembly not in accordance with the instructions
for use, and which is not carried out with suitable tools and in compliance with the rules of art.
