Assembly instructions
5.7 Assembly of the bottom bracket
TIME Scylon frames are designed to accommodate the new BB386 standard.
Before the assembly, check that your pedal is BB386 compatible.
Carry out the assembly according to the recommendations of the manufacturer of the bottom bracket.
The spans of the TIME Scylon bearings are obtained directly from moulds. A conformity check is
performed during the manufacturing process.
Consequently, no rework is necessary or allowed before assembly.
5.8 Assembling the brakes
Before the assembly, read the technical instructions by the brake system manufacturer.
5.8.1 Brake pad installation, TIME Scylon frame.
TIME frames come with specic brake nuts that must
be replaced with the original brake nuts:
- Front nut

- Rear nut
2
length 27 mm ref: 6007792.
Mounting the front brake calliper:
- Lightly grease the threads of the nuts before
assembly.
- Position the front brake calliper

- Tighten the front nut
1

Mounting the rear brake calliper:
- Because of its construction, the TIME Scylon frame
cannot have a stepped bore for the brake shaft to
pass through (Ø 6.5 mm and Ø 8.5 mm).
- For Scylon, drilling is done with a constant diameter
of Ø 8.5 mm.
- The guidance will be precise thanks to the brake nut
guided by the 2 walls of the frame structure.
When tting the brake, make sure that the nut is
properly aligned
2
with the frame:
- Correct alignment of the nut
4
.
- Wrong alignment of the nut
5
.
