Assembly instructions
5.3 Levelling the fork pivot and mounting the stem
TIME Scylon frames are equipped with a patented steering system, the Quickset.
The Quickset concept consists of separating the adjustment of the direction from the adjustment of the stem,
while preserving the advantages of the Aheadset system (TIME patent). The cyclist will thus be able to focus
on his position without having to adjust the headset. Such a solution makes any complex compression system
unnecessary.
The setting of the Quickset direction is done at the factory, so there is no need to do a
disassembly rst.
Assembly of the TIME hanger on the TIME
bracket:
- Position the hanger
1
with a Ø 31.8 mm.
- Assemble the stem head with the screws
2
and
tighten to a torque of 6 Nm, taking care to balance
the tightening.
A hanger with a diameter of less
than 31.7 mm or a diameter greater
than 31.9 mm may result in risks when
using the bike.

Blank mounting of the stem:
- Make a rst blank mount to determine the height of
the stem.
- To provide optimum adjustment, a kit of 3
extensions
3
5, 10 and 15 mm is delivered with
the frame. These extensions incorporate an O-ring
that avoids any parasitic vibration!
- Perform a height adjustment test on the stem.
For safety reasons, only use the
extensions supplied. The total height of
the rings must not exceed 30 mm.
