5.10 Settings and maintenance
5.10.1 Setting the steering
TIME frames are equipped with the Quickset headset system.
Although this is preset in the factory, it is normal for there to be some play after a break-in period.
To stop this play, proceed as follows:
- Use the small levers

Ref: 60003067 which come
with the frame.
- Position them in the circlet.
- Immobilise the fork and turn the levers slightly

clockwise to eliminate the play.
Do not overload the bearings, which
could make the steering unpleasant to
use and prematurely damage the
bearings.

Disassembly:
- Disassemble the stem

by loosening the
fastening screws

(if necessary, remove the
brake and derailleur cables).
- Slide the stem upwards taking care not to damage
the compression plug

and the spacers

- Loosen the
Quickset circlet

using the small
levers

Ref: 60003067, which come with the

- Remove the circlet

and its seal and the deector

, from the pivot by sliding them.
- Release the fork

from the frame.
- Remove the bearings

and the protective
skirt

- Clean the set of spans and then re-grease them
with cycle grease.
