Turn the lock konb on the battery holder (DB-54) to “OPEN” and remove it.

Insert the two D-size dry cells, matching them with the positive and negative
illustrations.

Insert the battery holder into the instrument and turn the lock konb to “LOCK”.

NOTE
•Replace both batteries with new ones at
the same time.
•Insert the batteries in the holder accord-
ing to the illustration.
•Remove the dry cells from the instru-
ment when you will not use it for more
than one month.
