“WakingUp”theBatteryPack
Innormaloperation,turningthekeytotheSTARTposition
“wakesup”thebatterypack.Thisprovidespowertothe
TEC-2401,whichsendsperiodic“keepalive”messages
throughtheCANbustothebatterycontrollertokeepthe
batterypackpoweredup.TheLi+diagnosticwireharness
allowsthebatterypacktopowerupmomentarilysothatyou
canperformdiagnosticprocedures.Thebatterypackremains
ononlymomentarilybecausenoCANmessageissent.
To“wakeup”thebatterypack,performthefollowingsteps:
1.InstalltheLi+diagnosticwireharness.Referto
InstallingtheLi+DiagnosticWireHarness(page8).
2.DisconnecttheP06andP07connectorsfromP05(the
moldedstoragecap).
3.ConnecttheP06andP07connectorstogether.
4.Listenforanaudible“clunk”fromthebatteryinternal
contactor.Forthenext2to3seconds,thebatterypack
willsupplypowertoitsoutputterminals.
