Iftheoilbecomescontaminated,contactyourlocal
Torodistributorbecausethesystemmustbeushed.
Contaminatedoillooksmilkyorblackwhencompared
tocleanoil.
1.Cleantheareaaroundtheltermountingarea
(
Figure53).Placeadrainpanunderthelterand
removethelter.
Note:Iftheoilisnotgoingtobedrained,
disconnectandplugthehydrauliclinegoingtothe
lter.

2.Fillthereplacementlterwiththeappropriate
hydraulicuid,lubricatethesealinggasket,andhand
turnituntilthegasketcontactsthelterhead.Then
tighten3/4turnfurther.Theltershouldnowbe
sealed.
3.Fillthehydraulicreservoirwithhydraulicoil;referto
CheckingtheHydraulicFluidLevel(page26).
4.Startthemachineandrunitatidlefor3to5minutes
tocirculatetheuidandremoveanyairtrappedin
thesystem.
5.Stopthemachine,rechecktheuidleveland
replenishasrequired.
6.Disposeoftheoilandlterproperly.

•Makesureallhydraulicuidhosesandlinesare
ingoodconditionandallhydraulicconnections
andttingsaretightbeforeapplyingpressureto
thehydraulicsystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulicleaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulicsystem
beforeperforminganyworkonthehydraulic
system.
•Getimmediatemedicalhelpifuidisinjected
intoskin.
Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyforleaks,kinked
lines,loosemountingsupports,wear,loosettings,
weatherdeterioration,andchemicaldeterioration.Make
allnecessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
