Theserviceindicatorlightilluminatesintheeventof
afaultinthemachine.Whenthislightison,youcan
accessthecomputercodestodiagnosetheproblem
byenteringdiagnosticmode.Indiagnosticmode,the
serviceindicatorlightwillashanumberoftimesgiving
youtheerrorcodethatyouoryourdistributorcanuse
toidentifytheproblem.
Note:Theenginecannotbestartedindiagnosticmode.
EnteringDiagnosticMode
1.Stopthemachine,settheparkingbrake,andturn
theignitionkeytoOff.
2.MovetheFunctionalControlLevertotheTransport
position.
3.EnsurethattheBacklapleverissettoForward(F).
4.Getoffoftheseat.
5.HoldtheRaise/LowerMowControlintheRaised
position.
6.TurntheignitionswitchtotheRunposition.
7.Countthecodesastheybegintoash(youmay
releasetheRaise/LowerMowControloncethey
beginashing).
Whennished,turnthekeytotheOffpositiontoexit
diagnosticmode.
DeterminingtheErrorCode
Thesystemwilldisplaythelast3faultsthatoccurredin
thelast40hours.Itdisplaysthefaultsthroughaseries
ofblinkinglights,asfollows:
•Iftherearenofaults,thelightwithblinksteadilyata
mediumratewithoutpauses(1Hz).
•Ifthereisafault,itwillrstblinkthetensplace,
followedbyapause,followedbytheonesplace.
Forthefollowingexamples,a#representsablink.
Examples:
–Ifthecodeis15,theblinkpatternwillbe

–Ifthecodeis42,theblinkpatternwillbe

•Iftherearemorethanonefault,thetensplaceof
