3.Checkallfastenersforloosenessandtightenthem
asnecessary.
4.Greaseoroilallgreasettings,pivotpoints,and
transmissionby-passvalvepins.Wipeoffanyexcess
lubricant.
5.Lightlysandandusetouchuppaintonpaintedareas
thatarescratched,chippedorrusted.Repairany
dentsinthemetalbody.
6.Servicethebatteryandcablesasfollows:
A.Removethebatteryterminalsfromthebattery
posts.
B.Cleanthebattery,terminals,andpostswitha
wirebrushandbakingsodasolution.
C.Coatthecableterminalsandbatterypostswith
Grafo112Xskin-overgrease(ToroPartNo.
505-47)orpetroleumjellytopreventcorrosion.
D.Slowlyrechargethebatteryfor24hoursevery60
daystopreventleadsulfationofthebattery.
Engine
1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandreplace
thedrainplug.
2.Removeanddiscardtheoillter.Installanewlter.
3.Relltheenginewith4quarts(3.8l)ofrecommended
motoroil.RefertoChangingtheEngineOil.
4.Starttheengineandrunitatidlespeedfortwo
minutes.
5.Drainthefuelfromthefueltank,fuellines,pump,
lter,andseparator.Flushthefueltankwithclean
dieselfuelandconnectallfuellines.
6.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheaircleaner
assembly.
7.Sealtheaircleanerinletandtheexhaustoutletwith
weatherproofmaskingtape.
8.Checktheoilllercapandfueltankcaptoensure
theyaresecurelyinplace.
