neutral/parkingbrakelock.Securethecontrolrod
withaclevispinandahairpincotter(Figure36).
4.Checktheoperationofthecontrolrod.Ifyouneed
toadjustit,removethehairpincotterandtheclevis
pinthatsecurethecontrolrodtothedrivelevers.
5.Adjustthecontrolrodlengthbyrepeatingthe
previoussteps.

Toensureasuperiorqualityofcut,keeptheblades
sharp.Forconvenientsharpeningandreplacement,you
maywanttokeepextrabladesonhand.
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,anda
pieceofthebladecouldbethrownintothe
operator’sorbystander’sarea,resultingin
seriouspersonalinjuryordeath.
•Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
•Replaceawornordamagedblade.
BeforeInspectingorServicingthe
Blades
Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengagetheblade
controlbailandsettheparkingbrake.Turntheignition
keytooff.Removethekeyanddisconnectthespark
plugwire(s)fromthesparkplug(s).
InspectingtheBlades
Inspectthebladesevery8hours.

arenotsharporhavenicks,removeandsharpenthe
blades.RefertoSharpeningtheBlades.
