Mower Belt Replacement
Mower Belt Removal
1. Disengage the PTO, move the motion control levers
to the neutral locked position, and set the parking
brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
3. Lower the mower to the 3” (76mm) height-of-cut.
4. Remove the RH belt cover (Fig. 387) and the LH belt
cover.

5. Lift the oor pan.
6. With a 3/8” ratchet or breaker bar in the square hole
in the idler arm, release tension on the idler-spring
(Fig. 388).

7. Remove the belt from the mower deck pulleys (Fig.
389).
