WiththeignitionswitchintheRUNposition,andtheoperatorpresenceswitch
closed(operatorisintheseat),batteryvoltageissuppliedtothelefthandneutral
switch.
Note:Theoperatorpresenceswitchispartoftheseatassembly.
OperatorPresenceSwitch(SeatSwitch)Testing
1.Disconnectthewireharnessfromtheoperatorpresenceswitch,located
onthebottomoftheseatassembly.
2.Usingadigitalmulti-metersettotheOHMorContinuitysetting,testthe
continuitybetweenthe2switchterminals.
•Whentheseatisvacated,theswitchshouldNOThavecontinuity(open).
•Whentheoperatorispresent,theswitchshouldhavecontinuity(closed).
NeutralSwitch—LeftandRight
•Theneutralswitchisasinglepoleplungertypeswitch(normallyopen)with
twoterminals.Whentheplungerisdepressed,thecircuitclosesandthere
iscontinuitybetweentheterminals.
•Motioncontrolleversinneutralposition(OUT),theswitchshouldhave
continuity(closed).
•Motioncontrolleversintheoperatingposition(IN),theswitchshouldNOT
havecontinuity(open).

ParkingBrakeSwitch
•Theparkingbrakeswitchisadualpole/fourterminalplungertypeswitch
(normallyopenandnormallyclosed).Whentheparkingbrakeisset
(engaged),thenormallyclosedpoleoftheswitchisopenandthenormally
openpoleisclosed.Thisallowspropervoltageandgroundsignalpathfor
thesafetyinterlockandPTOoperations.
•ParkingBrakeON,theswitchshouldhavecontinuity(closed).
•ParkingBrakeOFF,theswitchshouldNOThavecontinuity(open).
