Oncethepackhaschargedto100%stateofcharge(SOC),thebatterypack
willdetermineifcellbalancingisnecessary.Ifnecessary,itwillequalizethe
individualcellsinthebatterypack.Thechargerwillceasetooutputcurrent
andvoltage,andwillpresentahighimpedanceconnectionatthehighvoltage
terminalofthebattery.Ifcellbalancingisnotnecessary,thechargerwill
progresstothestandbymode.
Oncethebatterypackaccomplishescellbalancingtotherequiredlevel,itwill
sendaCANmessagetothechargertocommencechargingagain(atthevoltage
andcurrentlimitsindicatedviaCAN).Thepackandchargerwillgothroughthis
cycle2to3timesuntileitherthebatterypackissatisedwiththeresultsofthe
cellequalizationor18hourshaspassed.Now,thepackwillchangetoCharge
Donestate,andthechargerwillrespondbyshuttingdownthebatterypack.If
thepackfailstoterminatethebalancingorchargingwithin19hoursfromstart
ofcharge,thechargerwillterminatethecharge.Ineithercase,thechargerwill
shutthepackdownandswitchtotheStandbystate.
Duringcellbalancing,thebatteryvoltage,stateofcharge(aspercentoffully
charged),andamperagewillbedisplayedintheLCDmessagedisplay.

Thechargerstaysinstandbymodefromcompletionofchargeuntil24hoursfrom
startofchargehaspassed.Whileinstandby,thechargerLCDmessagedisplay
isheldinthebrightlylitmode.Oncethe24hourstimeperiodhaselapsed,the
chargerwillgointoitslowestpowerconsumptionmodeofHibernate.
Duringstandby,thebatterystateofcharge(aspercentoffullycharged)willbe
displayedintheLCDmessagedisplay.Typically,SOCforafullychargedbattery
willbefrom98%to100%.
