Procedure
Performthisprocedureonlyifyouareinstalling
anattachmentotherthanthestandardrotary
cuttingunits(e.g.,snowthrower,blade,orail).
Youcanchangethehydraulicpressureusedto
transfertheweightoftheattachmenttothetraction
unitbyadjustingtheweight-transfervalveofthe
hydraulicmanifold.Forbestperformance,adjustthe
weight-transfervalvesothatanybouncingmotionof
theattachmentisminimaloveruneventerrain,but
alsoadjustthevalvesothattheattachmentdoesnot
rideheavilyoveratterrainorlowertooquickly.
•Toimprovethecontour-trackingperformanceof
theattachmentasyouoperatethemachineover
uneventerrain,decreasetheweight-transfer
(hydraulic)pressureatthehydraulicmanifold.
Note:Iftheattachmentcastersortheleading
edgeofthesnowthroweroatabovetheground,
thehydraulicpressureoftheweighttransfervalve
istoohigh.
•Whenyouarecuttingatturf,whenthecutting
unitisscalpingthegrass,ifthequalityofcutis
unevenfromsidetoside,ortheleadingedgeofa
snowthrowerisscrapingtooheavily,increasethe
weight-transferpressureatthehydraulicmanifold.
Note:Increasingweight-transferpressurealso
transferstheweightfromtheattachmenttothe
wheelsofthetractionunit,therebyimprovingthe
tractionofthetractionunit.
Adjusttheweight-transferpressureasfollows:
1.Operatethemachinefor10minutes.
Note:Thiswillwarmthehydraulicuid.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
attachment,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekeyfromtheswitch.
3.Locatetheliftmanifoldfromunderthemachine
(Figure16).
