manyhoursyouhaveruntheenginesincethe
lastreset,parked,orrecoveryregeneration.
SettingtheInhibitRegen
ResetRegenerationOnly
Aresetregenerationproduceselevatedengine
exhaust.Ifyouareoperatingthemachinearound
trees,brush,tallgrass,orothertemperature-sensitive
plantsormaterials,youcanusetheINHIBITREGEN
settingtopreventtheenginecomputerfrom
performingaresetregeneration.
Note:TheINHIBITREGENoptionisalwaysusedwhen
maintenanceisbeingperformedonthemachineinan
enclosedarea.
Note:IfyousettheInfoCentertoinhibitregeneration,
theInfoCenterdisplaysanadvisoryevery15minutes
whiletheenginerequestsaresetregeneration.
Important:Whenyoushutofftheengineand
startitagain,theinhibitregensettingdefaultsto
OFF.
1.AccesstheDPFRegenerationmenu,andscroll
downtotheINHIBITREGENoption.
2.SelecttheInhibitREGENentry.
3.ChangetheinhibitregenerationsettingfromOff
toOn.
PreparingtoPerformaParkedorRecovery
Regeneration
1.Ensurethatthemachinehasfuelinthetankfor
thetypeofregenerationyouareperforming:
•ParkedRegeneration:Ensurethatyou
have1/4tankoffuelbeforeperformingthe
parkedregeneration.
•RecoveryRegeneration:Ensurethatyou
have1/2tankoffuelbeforeperformingthe
recoveryregeneration.
2.Movethemachineoutsidetoanareaaway
fromcombustiblematerialsoritemsthatmay
bedamagedbyheat.
3.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
4.DisengagethePTO,andloweranyattachments
(ifequipped).
5.Engagetheparkingbrake.
6.SetthethrottletothelowIDLEposition.
7.Ensurethattheair-conditioningisoff(machines
equippedwithacabonly).
PerformingaParkedorRecovery
Regeneration
Whenaparkedregenerationisrequestedbythe
enginecomputer,followthemessagesonthe
InfoCenter.
Important:Thecomputerofthemachinecancels
DPFregenerationifyouincreasetheenginespeed
fromlowidleorreleasetheparkingbrake.
1.AccesstheDPFRegenerationmenu,and
scrolldowntothePARKEDREGENoptionorthe
RECOVERYREGENoption.
2.SelectthePARKEDREGENentryortheRECOVERY
REGENentry.
3.AttheVERIFYFUELLEVELscreen,verifythatyou
have1/4tankoffuelifyouareperformingthe
parkedregenerationor1/2tankoffuelifyouare
performingtherecoveryregeneration,andpress
thedisplay-screenbuttonicontocontinue.
4.OntheParkedRegenmenuorRecoveryRegen
menu,pressthedisplay-screenbuttontostart
theregeneration.
5.AttheDPFchecklistscreen,verifythatthe
parkingbrakeisengaged,thattheenginespeed
issettolowidle,andpressthedisplay-screen
buttonicontocontinue.
6.AttheINITIATEDPFREGENscreen,selectthe
display-screenbuttontocontinue.
7.TheInfoCenterdisplaystheINITIATINGDPF
REGENmessage.
Note:Ifneeded,holdthedisplay-screenbutton
tocanceltheregenerationprocess.
8.TheInfoCenterdisplaysthetimetocomplete
message.
9.TheInfoCenterdisplaysthehomescreenand
theregenerationacknowledgeiconappears
.
Note:WhiletheDPFregeneration
runs,theInfoCenterdisplaysthehigh
exhaust-temperatureicon
.
10.Whentheenginecomputercompletesa
parkedorrecoveryregeneration,theInfoCenter
displaysanadvisory.Pressanybuttontoexitto
thehomescreen.
Note:Iftheregenerationfailstocomplete,
followtheadvisoryandpressanybuttontoexit
tothehomescreen.
