ServiceInterval:Every50hours—Inspecttheblades
fordamageandexcessivewear.
Every50hours—Makesurethateachblade
boltistorquedto45N∙m(33.2ft-lb).
Important:Bladesshouldalwaysbereplacedat
thesametimeastheoppositeblade/aspairsto
maintainbalance.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Raiseandsupportthecuttingunitwiththe
transportlatches.
3.Shutofftheengine,engagetheparkingbrake,
andremovethekey.
4.Inspecteachbladefordamagepayingparticular
attentiontothefasteners,cuttingedge,and
installationhole(Figure75).Replaceall
damagedbladesandfasteners.

5.Inspecteachbladeforexcessivewearusingthe
wearline(Figure76).Whenabladeisworn
downtothewearline,replacetheblade.

6.Makesurethateachbladeboltistorquedto45
N∙m(33.2ft-lb).
7.Gripeachbladeandmakesurethatthereis
notmorethanatotalof3mm(1/8inch)offree
movementineitherdirectionfromtherotor.If
thereismorethanatotalof3mm(1/8inch)of
freemovement,replacetheblade.
8.Checkeachpairofoppositebladesforaweight
differencebetweenthem.
Note:Eachpairofoppositebladesshouldnot
haveaweightdifferenceofmorethan10grams.
DANGER
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,anda
pieceofthebladecouldbethrowntowardyou
orbystanders,resultinginseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
Inspectthebladesperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
Replaceawornordamagedblade.
CheckingtheRearGuard
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Inspecttherearguardforwearordamage(Figure
77).Replacetherearguardifitisdamagedtoprevent
objectsbeingthrownintotheoperator’sarea.
