STEERING SYSTEM - ALIGNMENT - ZERO TURN TRACTOR
Alignment
Note: For proper alignment, you will need
three 1/4 in. dowel pins and a steering arm
spacer. This tool kit is available from Toro.
“Order part number 132-0852
Note: The fourth dowel pin is used for a
different procedure.
1. Ensure the wheel gears are in the forward
position so that the tie rod end hole in the gears
are straight forward.
2. Align the mark on the sector gear with a tooth on
the lower steering shaft as shown. The mark on
the gear must be right in the middle.
3. Remove the front shroud as outlined in “Front
Shroud” Service Information Sheet. On the
top of the mower and in front of the steering
column, place the steering arm spacer in the
hole directly in front of the steering colunmn.
